BIOGRAPHY

Yulin Huang is a contemporary artist based in the United States whose work centers on the inexhaustible symbol of the phoenix. Her paintings weave together Chinese folk traditions, children’s doodles, primal visual symbols, and contemporary abstraction, forming a distinctive “Phoenix Image System.” Her practice explores rebirth, awakening, and the fluid freedom of life, creating visual universes that merge innocence, symbolism, and cosmic energy.

Huang graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Her artistic journey has moved from children’s art to folk symbolism, from primal marks to abstract structures. Over decades of teaching and creating, she developed a deeply personal totemic language. In her work, the phoenix is no longer just a bird—it is a vessel of life force: fire, transformation, awakening. As she often says: “The phoenix is me, but it is also all of us. Each of us must pass through moments of burning and rebirth.”

Her paintings are not “made” but “grown.” Lines breathe, symbols whisper, and doodles echo the voices of children and the hum of the cosmos. To encounter her paintings is to meet an unguarded sincerity—art becomes the living flow of life itself.

She is currently based in New York, with works exhibited at multiple art festivals and art fairs across the United States.

HaiWei is a contemporary painter whose work centers on animals, life forms, and symbolic creatures. A graduate of the Oil Painting Department of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, he creates a visual language that merges animal imagery, imaginative beings, and abstract structures. His paintings reveal the tension of nature, the rhythm of the soul, and the deep, ancient connection between humans and all living creatures.Trained in classical oil painting and later immersed in children’s art education, Wei gradually developed his own “Life Totem System.” In his work, animals are not merely animals—they are fauna: carriers of emotion, memory, instinct, and spirit. They emerge like mythological beings, yet also resemble the intimate, vulnerable selves hidden within each of us.His lines are gentle yet powerful, weaving between delicacy and strength, symbolizing the pulse of life. His colors are warm and earthy, inviting viewers into a space between childhood imagination and primal memory. His paintings embody both the tenderness of motherhood and the untamed energy of nature—a poetic ode to life in all forms. He is currently based in New York, with works exhibited at multiple art festivals and art fairs across the United States.
